I am delighted to share that I recently attended the Global Love Conference held in New York City on May 6th and 7th, 2026.

What is the Global Love Conference?

Hosted by the Global Love Institute, this prestigious annual event gathers elite matchmakers and relationship experts from around the world. It is held in major global hubs such as New York, London, and Singapore.

For me, this is much more than a “conference”—it is a vital international workshop where we study the cutting edge of the industry. It is a place to share the latest matchmaking trends, strengthen professional networks, and update our certifications. I first attended in 2013, when I officially became a certified matchmaker through the Global Love Institute.

Wisdom from the Leaders in Relationship Science

Some years ago, I had the profound honor of attending a lecture by Dr. Helen Fisher, a world-renowned biological anthropologist and TED speaker.

Dr. Fisher was a pioneer in the science of love and brain chemistry. Though she sadly passed away in 2024, her incredible legacy, the “Science of Love,” continues to serve as a guiding light for matchmakers worldwide. Scientific Foundations of Communication

One of the highlights of this year’s conference was a presentation by Dr. Amir Levine. Many of you may recognize his name from my previous newsletters. His book, Attached, is a masterpiece that scientifically analyzes how we choose our partners. The wisdom in his work applies not just to marriage, but to all forms of communication—be it in the workplace or with family and friends.

In fact, after Attached was introduced at a past conference, our team helped facilitate its Japanese translation, titled “How to Accurately See into the Heart of the Opposite Sex.” I highly recommend it to anyone serious about international matchmaking.

Introducing Dr. Levine’s Newest Work: SECURE

At this conference, Dr. Levine introduced his latest book, SECURE. This new work offers deeply practical insights for those of you seeking international marriage. I encourage you to explore the original English edition to immerse yourself in his perspective. I truly hope a Japanese translation will be available in the future.

Expanding Global Networks and New Opportunities

The conference also allowed me to reconnect with fellow American matchmakers with whom I frequently collaborate. During our discussions, we proposed co-hosting new events to bridge our networks. The response was incredibly positive! I am thrilled about these upcoming projects that will connect charming gentlemen from both the East and West Coasts with our members.

Reflecting on this year’s Global Love Conference, the majority of attendees were based in North America and Europe. In fact, I may have been the only matchmaker representing Japan.
